A COโ Welder is responsible for performing welding operations using the MIG-MAG (Metal Inert Gas / Metal Active Gas) process, with carbon dioxide or mixed protective gases. The main objective of this role is to produce strong, accurate, and high-quality metal joints according to technical drawings and project specifications.
Perform welding on metal structures, parts, and industrial components according to technical requirements.
Prepare surfaces for welding: cleaning, fitting, and aligning components.
Adjust welding machine settings (voltage, current, gas flow) for optimal results.
Inspect weld quality, dimensions, and appearance to ensure compliance with standards.
Repair or rework defective welds when necessary.
Maintain tools, welding equipment, and ensure workplace cleanliness and safety.
Follow safety procedures, fire prevention rules, and company regulations at all times.
Proven experience in MIG-MAG (COโ) welding.
Technical knowledge of metals, welding materials, and procedures.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
