Cut, trim, debone, and prepare meat and poultry according to specific cuts and customer requirements.
Operate knives, saws, grinders, and other meat-processing equipment safely.
Inspect and grade meat quality, ensuring freshness and compliance with health regulations.
Weigh, package, and label meat portions for sale or further processing.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and machinery.
Monitor inventory, receive deliveries, and properly store meat products (refrigeration, freezing).
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
Provide assistance to customers or kitchen staff regarding cuts, portions, and cooking suggestions (if in a retail or catering setting).
Proven experience as a Butcher in retail, processing, or industrial environments.
Excellent knife-handling and cutting skills.
Knowledge of meat types, cuts, and preparation techniques.
Understanding of food hygiene, storage, and safety regulations (HACCP).
Physical strength and stamina for manual tasks and lifting.
Attention to detail and precision in portioning and presentation.
